Integrating the Brain, Heart, and Gut: Exploring Peripersonal Space, the Electromagnetic Field of the Heart, and the Enteric Nervous System

In this class, we will explore the interconnected systems that shape our experience of safety, self-awareness, and vitality: peripersonal space (PPS), the heart’s electromagnetic field, and the enteric nervous system (gut brain). We’ll examine the brain structures that map PPS, including the putamen and tectum, and discuss how trauma impacts our sense of personal space and the body’s response to its environment. We’ll also explore how the heart’s energetic field influences our connection to the world and the role of the gut as a “truth detector” for both physiological and energetic health. Participants will learn basic anatomy and physiology of these systems, explore how they work together to support resilience and well-being, and practice Ortho-Bionomy® techniques to help restore balance and communication within these vital areas. This class meets online February 5, 12, and 19 from 12-4pm Eastern Time.
