Zen Shiatsu is a beautiful way to connect deeply with your clients, and restore balance through compassionate touch.In this class, you will learn to give a very relaxing and energizing full body Zen Shiatsu treatment the traditional way (on a mat on the floor).

She gives us solid ground to stand on. In this class we will learn practices that strengthen the Earth within us so that we feel secure, and we have the capacity to care for others and ourselves.

Springtime embodies the energy of Wood – New growth, engaging skillfully with obstacles, manifesting visions (like the vision of the oak tree, living inside the acorn). Through connecting with nature, conversation and hands-on work, you will bring new life to this creative energy that lives within each of us.

Fire: Connection, Warmth, Transformation

(pending NCBTMB approval) As a wise elder once said, “Fire burns away the mind’s chatter, so that we can hear the voice of the heart.” By nurturing our connection to the Fire within us, we open to that mysterious capacity to move beyond the individual self; we discover an empowered engagement with life, each other and ourselves. In this class, we will connect with nature, gather around the fire, and do hands-on work to feed the fire within us.

Side-lying position opens up new possibilities for treating the neck, shoulders, torso, hips, and legs. Studying techniques primarily derived from Shiatsu, you will learn and practice techniques that will: 1. Free up shoulder and spinal mobility, 2. Release restrictive breathing patterns, 3. Relieve neck, shoulder, hip and iliotibial band pain,
4. Balance the energy flow in the Liver and Gall Bladder meridians.
